AUTHOR_GUIDELINES
General Requirements
- Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English.
- The manuscript must be original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under review in another journal.
- Authors are responsible for the content, language quality, and ethical standards of their manuscript.
Manuscript Format
- File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt, 1.5 spacing.
- Paper size: A4, with all margins set to 3 cm.
- Length: 10–15 pages (4,000–6,000 words) including tables, figures, and bibliography.
Title, Authors, and Affiliations
- Title should be concise, informative, and not exceed 14 words.
- Write the full name(s) of the author(s) without academic degrees.
- Include institutional affiliation and the corresponding author’s email address.
Abstract and Keywords
- Abstract must be written either in Indonesian or English. Authors are encouraged to provide abstracts in both languages (Indonesian and English) for wider readership.
- Maximum 250 words, summarizing background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusion.
- Provide 3–5 keywords that represent the main concepts.
Structure of the Manuscript
The manuscript should follow this structure:
- Introduction. Explain research background, problem statement, and research gap. State the objective(s) and significance of the study.
- Method. Describe research design, data sources, sampling, instruments, and analysis procedures.
- Results and Discussion. Present findings clearly, supported by tables/figures. Discuss findings in relation to previous studies.
- Conclusion. Provide a brief summary of the main findings and implications.
- References. The references section should list all sources cited in the manuscript, arranged alphabetically by the first author’s last name. Use a consistent citation style and provide complete, accurate details for each reference. Ensure every in-text citation matches an entry in the reference list.
Tables and Figures
- Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and given clear, descriptive titles.
- Each table/figure must be referred to in the text.
- Sources of adapted data, if any, should be acknowledged.
Citation and Bibliography
- This journal uses footnote citation style following the Chicago Manual of Style (Full Note).

- All cited works must be listed in the bibliography at the end of the manuscript.
- Authors are strongly encouraged to use Mendeley or Zotero with Chicago Full Note style to manage references.
Submission
- Manuscripts must be submitted via the OJS system of Al-Mizan: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah.
- The editorial team reserves the right to return manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines.
